Trichology

Individualized Care for your Scalp

When considering your best options for hair regrowth, it’s important to think about the health of your scalp. Trichology, the branch of dermatology that focuses on the scalp, is the science of studying the scalp and hair abnormalities.

It’s through an understanding of trichology that our staff can clear up any skin conditions that might be contributing to your hair loss. We are proud to provide a robust lineup of clinically proven trichology & scalp treatments here at Raleigh Hair Concepts.

We like to tell our clients that the scalp is like a garden; your hair is like the growing plant. You’ve got to maintain that garden, keeping it clean and properly nourished, if you expect to get any growth. That’s what proper scalp care and trichology treatment can do—turn your scalp into a truly healthy environment for producing healthy hair. Our Epigenetics test with Cell Wellbeing can test the hair to see what deficiencies are current. Once we have that information, we then can add a plan for you to become balanced and nourish your papilla and bulb.

The trichology products we offer include clinical-grade treatments from some of the world’s top hair labs. Our stylists will recommend the specific products that are right for you. We can even advise you on whether your scalp treatments can be paired with laser hair therapy for optimal results.

Microscopy Technology

Microscopy is the ability to add your hair for testing to see which hairs are in Anagen, Catagen or Telegen phase. Calculations are done to see if the cycle is normal or abnormal. We will be able the see if stress or lack of sleep are involved with Squalene or Lactic acid present. We will also determine the number of hairs are miniature or pre-miniaturization stage. We will be able to measure the papilla’s diameter to read more of the active growth progression. This is a science we brought back from Italy.

Cell Wellbeing Digital Scanning Process

graphic showing 9 epigenetic indicators

Sometimes hair loss can’t be stopped, but if you catch it early and take immediate action, you can often undo its unwanted effects.

The first step is a simple evaluation. We can conduct a brief inspection of your scalp and follicles. This can sometimes give us a sense of why your hair is thinning and point us toward some particular solutions.

Many times, the reason is the body’s deficiencies that are impeding the cell food to reach the papilla cells to nourish and feed the live keratin cell forming at night during your REM sleep.  If there is a lack of cell food, then the hair cell becomes smaller in size. That smaller hair cell will later produce a skininer hair strand.

Once the hair grows up and out of the follicular tunnel, you will notice your hair feeling thinner because the diameter of the hair shaft has miniaturized.  That hair fiber cannot be changed, only the new live cell being formed can. So, proper nutrition and absorption of proper nutrients can reverse the hairs’ thinness.

We can also perform a deeper-dive analysis on why your hair is thinning. We can utilize our Cell Wellbeing epigenetics test.  Four to five hairs are plucked and put into our genetics machine to read the hairs’ current DNA makeup within a 90-day window. This give us a blueprint of what is causing problems. A 30+ page report is generated to give you your detailed map of what is happening.

Epigenetic “mapping” is a digital scanning process involving the measurement of frequencies emitted from four to five hair follicles. This process captures over 800 underlying indicators which can provide a clue to understanding the body’s biological stressors.

The technology is based on a preventive perspective rather than a curative expression. For instance, various demands for nutrients or depletion of nutrients act as indicators for gut stress, cardiovascular stress or immune deficiency long before there is an expression of a symptom.
